A Fuji's-Varina man is in jail accused of child abuse.
Fuquay-Varina police arrested Michael Jairnes Lunsford, 31, on Monday.
He is accused of intentionally causing bodily injury to his 9-week old daughter, the arrest warrant stated.
Orange County Caretaker Arrested for Child Abuse
The Orange County Sheriff's Department arrested a Chapel Hill woman and charged her with physically abusing a five month old at her home day care.
Investigators said Cheryl McAdoo Alston, 53, ran a daycare from her home at 202 Jubilee Drive in Chapel Hill. In May, authorities got ac all that there was a cardiac arrest at that address. Officials arrived on scene and found the injured child who was sent to UNC Hospital for treatment of head trauma.
